Overview

Our client is seeking a highly technical Digital Asset Manager to support a global Content Design organization by overseeing the lifecycle, storage, organization, and archiving of complex motion graphics and video assets. Supporting more than 400 creative users and managing over 5 petabytes of content, this role serves as a critical bridge between motion design teams and enterprise storage infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in media asset management, post-production workflows, storage systems, and creative technologies. This individual will ensure large-scale project files, render caches, source assets, and complex project dependencies are efficiently managed throughout the production lifecycle-from active creation through long-term archival-while preventing data loss and minimizing workflow bottlenecks.

Responsibilities
Pipeline Management

  • Oversee the organization and storage of active motion graphics and video projects.
  • Ensure creative teams are utilizing high-performance storage systems effectively.
  • Monitor workflows to prevent bottlenecks across local, network, and cloud-based storage environments.
  • Support efficient movement of assets between active production and long-term storage environments.

Asset Dependency Management & Packaging

  • Manage complex project dependencies, including footage, graphics, vectors, audio, and other linked assets.
  • Execute project packaging and collection processes to ensure long-term project integrity and recoverability.
  • Validate project completeness before archival to prevent broken links or missing assets during future retrieval.

Archiving & Metadata Management

  • Lead migration of completed projects into cold-storage environments.
  • Apply metadata standards, taxonomy structures, and tagging practices to improve searchability and asset retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate records of source files, project files, renders, and archived content.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate secure transfer of large media files, source assets, and final deliverables between internal teams and external production partners.
  • Support project handoffs and vendor collaboration throughout the content production lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with security and asset management standards during transfers.

System Governance & Infrastructure Support

  • Monitor storage utilization, render caches, scratch disks, and overall storage health.
  • Partner with IT and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize storage environments.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between creative teams and enterprise technology partners.

Workflow Optimization

  • Evaluate existing asset management workflows and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to support scalability and operational excellence.
  • Develop documentation, best practices, and governance standards for asset management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management, Post-Production Operations, Media Asset Management, Technical Production, or related fields within media, entertainment, broadcast, or creative organizations.
  • Deep understanding of motion graphics, video production workflows, file formats, codecs, and project dependencies.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including:

    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Familiarity with 3D content creation pipelines and tools such as Cinema 4D or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing assets across:

    • Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
    • SAN and NAS high-performance storage environments
    • Cloud-based review and collaboration platforms such as Frame.io

  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage architecture, including hot, warm, and cold storage environments.
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management, archival strategies, and digital preservation best practices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale creative teams and high-volume media production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting motion design, animation, visual effects, or post-production teams.
  • Knowledge of media asset governance, metadata standards, and archival frameworks.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale storage infrastructures supporting petabyte-level environments.
  • Familiarity with media security standards and content protection protocols.
  • Experience developing workflow documentation, training resources, and operational best practices.
