  • Must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of in-process or final inspection experience in a PCB/SMT manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and work well in a team environment.
  • Punctual and have good attendance.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong visual acuity.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 acceptability standards for electronic assemblies.
  • Familiarity with J-STD-001 soldering standards.
  • Prior exposure to first article inspection processes and NCM/MRB procedures.
  • Ability to identify common SMT and through-hole solder defects by visual inspection.
  • Experience reading assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Comfortable using microscopes and magnification tools for component-level inspection.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work with inspection records and quality documentation systems.


Job Duties:



  • Perform in-line visual inspections of SMT PCB assemblies at multiple stages (post-paste, post-placement, post-reflow)
  • Inspect for defects including solder issues, component misalignment, missing parts, polarity errors, and board damage
  • Apply IPC-A-610 Class II and III standards to ensure quality and compliance
  • Use microscopes and magnification tools to inspect fine-pitch and small components
  • Document defects, nonconformances, and inspection results following Good Documentation Practices
  • Tag and segregate nonconforming materials and escalate recurring or systemic issues
  • Verify assemblies meet current drawings, BOMs, and work instructions before advancing production
  • Monitor inspection equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area while following ESD and safety requirements
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, cross-training, and additional duties as assigned
