Cyber Product Strategy & Engagement Manager

Job Summary: Lafayette Group is seeking experienced professionals to work with federal government organizations in support of national cybersecurity programs. The Cyber Product Strategy & Engagement Manager will serve as a strategic leader responsible for advancing cybersecurity product development, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, and digital communications initiatives to strengthen the cybersecurity resilience of critical infrastructure organizations nationwide. This role requires a versatile professional capable of bridging strategy, communications, product development, customer engagement, and operational execution. The successful candidate will work closely with government leadership, cybersecurity subject matter experts, industry partners, and cross-functional teams to develop actionable cybersecurity products, improve stakeholder engagement strategies, measure product effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate possesses strong consulting skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, experience leading multidisciplinary teams, and a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic federal environments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic initiatives supporting cybersecurity product development, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, and digital communications efforts.
  • Collaborate with government leadership and cross-functional teams to identify stakeholder needs and translate requirements into actionable product and engagement strategies.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, interviews, and working sessions to gather insights and inform decision-making.
  • Design and implement customer experience and product performance measurement approaches, including feedback collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop executive-level communications, strategic plans, operational concepts, briefing materials, and stakeholder engagement products.
  • Support the planning, development, and delivery of cybersecurity products intended for diverse audiences across government, industry, and critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Analyze stakeholder data, engagement metrics, and customer feedback to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support digital communications initiatives, content strategies, and outreach campaigns designed to increase product adoption and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead project teams and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to manage competing priorities and ensure timely execution of project objectives.
  • Support business process improvement initiatives and help establish scalable governance, workflows, and operating models.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business, Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience supporting strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, product development, digital communications, management consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, workstreams, or teams in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong experience facilitating meetings, workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, and strategic documents.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain suitability, including successful completion of background investigation and fingerprinting requirements.

Desired Qualifications:
Candidates who bring one or more of the following complementary skill areas are especially encouraged to apply:
  • Experience supporting DHS, CISA, or other federal cybersecurity or homeland security organizations.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity product development, cyber threat communications, or risk communications initiatives.
  • Experience designing and implementing customer experience (CX), human-centered design, or stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Experience developing digital communication strategies, outreach campaigns, or content marketing initiatives.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder segmentation, audience analysis, journey mapping, or persona development.
  • Experience using data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing performance metrics, KPIs, or product effectiveness measurement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product management principles, or product lifecycle management approaches.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Human-Centered Design, Prosci, or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading strategic planning, organizational transformation, or process improvement initiatives.

Location: Arlington, VA/Hybrid or Remote

Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
