Requisition ID req36917 Working Title CULLS AI Project Manager Position Grade 13 Position Summary UNM is seeking a motivated individual with great organizational and communication skills to join our team as an AI Project Manager that will directly support UNM's Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee and associated university-wide efforts. The successful candidate will enjoy working with students, faculty, and staff across multiple departments to advance institutional strategies and values with respect to Artificial Intelligence, and have a natural curiosity about how this technology can best advance the university. This is a three-year termed position, renewed annually. UNM's Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee was established to coordinate AI related strategy, planning, and implementation across academic, research, and administrative domains. The committee was created in response to the rapidly expanding impact of artificial intelligence on teaching and learning, research and creative activity, administrative operations, and institutional governance. The AI Steering Committee is charged with supporting the ethical, responsible, and strategic adoption of AI technologies in alignment with UNM 2040 goals and institutional priorities. This position provides operational coordination and project management support for the work of the AI Steering Committee and related university initiatives. The position will coordinate multiple concurrent projects and working groups, support institutional planning activities, conduct research and environmental scanning related to emerging AI technologies and practices, assist with development and maintenance of UNM's AI web presence, and support communication and coordination across academic and administrative units. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
