What You'll Do The Principal Data Analytics Engineer provides strategic leadership in the design and development of Denodo data virtualization services to optimize data usage for Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. This highly visible role within Tufts Technology Services (TTS) and TUSDM requires deep technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, the engineer will serve as the first line of technical support for data usage needs and will be responsible for providing customer support across all levels-from frontline troubleshooting to executive-level consultation. The position also includes documenting technical and functional requirements to ensure clarity and alignment across teams and stakeholders. A key responsibility is the development of dashboards and delivery of actionable analytics using tools such as Tableau and Power BI, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The engineer will frequently be called upon to provide expert guidance and consultation to other TTS groups, senior administrators, faculty, and staff.
