We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and customer-focused Health Insurance Sales Representative/Account Manager to oversee and maintain client relationships within our health insurance portfolio, while developing new business opportunities. This role combines sales, customer service, and account management responsibilities to help individuals, businesses, and brokers select and manage health insurance plans that meet their needs.

The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for our agents, brokers, and clients, ensuring satisfaction with insurance products and services while helping clients understand coverage options, renewals, claims processes, and compliance requirements. In addition, this position will provide education and motivation to broker agents, concerning the sales of MercyCare products and Mercy Health services, responsible for direct internal sales of MercyCare products, and will also assist in the marketing outreach efforts to the group and individual market. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain relationships, ongoing education and retention of MercyCare products and Mercy Health services to members, employer groups, and brokers.
  • Serve as the main contact for policy questions, renewals, plan documents, billing, and claims issues
  • Manage retention and growth of existing accounts
  • Position will be responsible for the sales of MercyCare products which include Commercial Group plans, individual/family plans, ICHRA's, and ASO plans (Level Funded and Traditional ASO)
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers, healthcare providers, and internal teams
  • Prepare and present benefit plan information and renewal proposals
  • Assist clients with enrollment processes and policy changes
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations, insurance laws, and industry trends
  • Position will use work flows and communication plans to ensure timely, accurate renewal processing, service to customers, and agents to retain membership.
  • Manage internal plan build and renewal processes.
  • Position will track and review information continuously with the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies
  • A strong knowledge of MercyCare products and services is essential for this position.
  • Experience in level-funded and self-funded health insurance plans to businesses is preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certification and Licensure

Wisconsin and/or Illinois Insurance Sales License

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Travel may be 50%of time.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Goldmine or similar software Contact Management systems; excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

PAY RANGE:

$58,797.66 - $94,076.26
