The Opportunity:

UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management is seeking a Director, Graduate Affairs to lead graduate student success at one of the most recognized hospitality programs in the world. Ranked No. 1 in the nation by Shanghai Rankings, Rosen College is where world-class academic programs meet one of the nation's most visited destination - and this role sits at the center of that experience. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, the Director will provide strategic leadership for graduate advising across the college's Master of Science, Certificate, and PhD programs, including support for international students and programs, ensuring students are supported at every stage of their academic journey.

Responsibilities:

Academic Advising & Student Support


  • Oversee advising and student support services for the college's graduate and international student programs, ensuring timely processing.

  • Oversee the academic advising Graduate Plans of Study process, admission processes and procedures, registration process, and the interpretation of university policies and procedures.

  • Manage Graduate Plans of Study maintenance and the course substitution process to support smooth transfer of credits and timely degree completion.

  • Manage the dual degree seeking programs. Input and manage the Graduate (PhD) Awards in the university graduate system.

  • Assist the School Directors in resolving student concerns, advising, and providing registration assistance as needed.

  • Attend College Partner meetings at main campus and support the college in meeting university student success, enrollment, and retention goals.


Enrollment, Recruitment & Engagement


  • Lead orientation, recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives toward graduate student progression and growth of the college's graduate student population.

  • Assist Assistant Dean and Lead Faculty for external international student program(s) (KHU, Disney Cohort).


Operations, Reporting & Leadership


  • Provide backup support with analyzing student data and generate various reports for the Assistant Dean and Directors.

  • Manage the Graduate Affairs staff and explain and/or clarify university academic policies and procedures to administrators, faculty, current and potential graduate students.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and make appropriate referrals to other campus resources, as necessary to carry out the strategic goals of the College.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 3+ year(s) of leadership experience oran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in graduate academic advising and student recruitment efforts, preferably within a hospitality, tourism, or related professional program.

  • Familiarity with Graduate Plans of Study processes and degree audit systems.

  • Working knowledge of university academic policies and curriculum interpretation across faculty, staff, and student populations.

  • Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Workday, Canvas, Slate, or equivalent).

  • Experience with student retention strategies and persistence monitoring at the graduate level.

  • Experience analyzing student data and generating reports to inform advising decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty directors and academic leadership.
