Job Overview
This position is responsible for blending finished fluid product and perform all other task and activities associated with the product in our grease production area.
Job responsibilities include handling chemicals involved in the manufacture of specialty lubricants and grease and packaging of products both manually and on specialized packaging equipment.
The grease operator routinely transfers raw materials and products and must ensure the correct material is transferred to the correct destination as a core responsibility of the role. The grease operator performs calculations as required to determine batch and tank contents and quantities transferred as well as other batch related calculations. The grease must follow detailed batch instructions which include precisely weighing and adding raw materials as part of making blending batches. The grease operator operates equipment ranging from ambient conditions to conditions of high temperature and pressure.

- Perform preventive maintenance and quality control checks
- Transfer of materials, material sampling
- Monitor and record process data as required
- Proactively respond safely and quickly to process abnormalities
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Packaging products in various containers as needed
- Perform necessary task to maintain inventory of materials(cycle counts, SAP transaction, tank gauging, calculating tank quantities and transfers, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience / Skills
- 4+ years prior Chemical plant or similar experience handling chemicals and batch operations in chemical industrial environment required
- Prior experience of blending chemicals and bulk chemical handling strongly preferred
- Previous experience with process controls and process control systems such as PLCs, DCS systems, single loop controllers preferred
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalence required
- Clear and comprehensive communication in English (written/verbal) required
- Basic mathematics and numeracy skills required
- Qualified forklift operator required
- Ability to work in a Team environment
- Committed to safety & organizational goals
- Self-motivated with good work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy and high-volume machine production area
- Ability to climb ladders and platforms (such as on storage tanks and railcars)
- Ability and willingness to work safely and wear PPE as required
- This position is 2nd shift, Monday thru Friday, 300 PM to 1130 PM.
