Overview

The Electrical EIT is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for a variety of projects. Working under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers and project leadership, this position contributes to the development of construction documents, engineering calculations, and technical solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. This role is expected to apply sound engineering judgment, manage assigned tasks independently, and continue progressing toward professional licensure.

Responsibilities

    Support the design of electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, municipal, and other building projects.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
  • Preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and related bid and construction documents
  • Reviewing project details to proactively identify and mitigate risk
  • Evaluating site conditions and designing electrical systems that meet environmental, safety, and installation requirements
  • Staying current on industry codes, standards, and emerging trends relevant to electrical and civil engineering


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required

  • Proficiency in engineering design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Visual Lighting, and SKM

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial building electrical design and applicable codes
