Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Test Automation Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals. The ideal candidate will lead the dual run testing and validation program supporting a major modernization effort, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the Facets platform as it transitions from legacy systems. This role will oversee the strategy, design, and execution of automated testing across multiple test phases and environments, driving rigorous quality standards and delivering critical insights that inform system readiness. The Test Automation Manager will play a key role in ensuring seamless integration, operational stability, and successful transformation initiatives for our federal healthcare customer.

Responsibilities:

Test Automation Manager's responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

    Managing the dualrun testing and validation program to ensure the Facets platform achieves a 95% or greater claim match rate compared to legacy systems. * Developing the comprehensive Dual Run Test Plan , including test strategy, entry/exit criteria, automation scope, validation approach, and environment requirements. * Designing modern test automation frameworks and testing methods that support SIT, regression, end-to-end, volume/performance, and dual run validation cycles. * Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of automated and manual test activities across multiple integrated teams and system interfaces. * Overseeing creation, maintenance, and optimization of automated test scripts using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, JUnit, Jira, TestRail , or similar. * Tracking test metrics, defect trends, and dual run comparison results; producing clear and actionable variance dashboards and analytics. * Driving the Go/NoGo recommendation process through evidence-based reporting and risk/mitigation analysis. * Creating, maintaining, and enforcing the Quality Management Plan (QMP) , including testing standards, processes, automation governance, and documentation. * Ensuring test environments, data sets, and automation assets support repeatable and scalable testing. * Working closely with development, architecture, operations, and business teams to ensure aligned test coverage, issue triage, and timely resolution. * Providing leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to test automation engineers and functional testers. * Supporting Agile ceremonies and establishing quality KPI dashboards commonly used in prior Peraton programs (e.g., defect leakage, automation coverage, execution velocity). * Ensuring compliance with federal healthcare program requirements, security standards, and integration protocols where applicable.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: * Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; or HS diploma and 12 years of experience. * Proven experience managing largescale test automation programs that integrate legacy platforms with modernized systems. * Demonstrated expertise in automated testing tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, JUnit, Jira, TestRail, or equivalent. * Handson experience designing automation frameworks supporting API, UI, integration, and performance testing. * Experience leading testing in complex, multivendor environments, including SIT, regression, E2E, and performance testing cycles. * Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing and/or transformations between legacy and modern platforms. * Demonstrated ability to build, track, and present test metrics, dashboards, variance reports, and readiness assessments. * Experience developing or managing formal test documentation, including Test Plans, Dual Run Plans, and Quality Management Plans. * Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including senior leadership. * Experience working within Agile environments and delivering testing within iterative, incremental development cycles. * U.S. Citizenship may be required depending on program needs; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or similar clearance (standard requirement in many Peraton postings).

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Facets, healthcare claims platforms, or CMS related systems. * Experience with federal healthcare programs (CMS, Medicare/Medicaid) or regulated health data environments. * Test automation certifications (e.g., Selenium, ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer). * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into DevSecOps toolchains. * Prior leadership roles on modernization, dual run, or legacy-to-target system transition programs. * Experience applying AI/ML based test optimization tools or predictive analytics to enhance quality reporting (aligns with common recent Peraton position language). * Experience supporting largescale transformation efforts within a systems integrator environment.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
