You will support a team of product managers with reporting and analysis of profit and loss, competitive intelligence and competitor landscape across the auto product for states in our central region. Although this role requires some technical skills, this is really more business focused so your past experience working with business partners on financial analysis is preferred.

Provides analysis to help build out auto product strategy recommendations to division and department leadership based on research, performance data and competitor actions. May specialize in researching competitor products, developing and/or enhancing product/contract language, underwriting guidelines, and/or analytics.

You will report to a Senior Manager, Product.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.

Position Compensation Range:

$69,000.00 - $115,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides information to leadership/management that will affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.

  • Develops reports, analysis, or recommended strategies related to product development or enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.

  • Analyzes information and presents opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.

  • Monitors effectiveness of current products and recommends changes and/or enhancements to management.

  • Analyzes information and/or data in support of the formulation and execution of operational plans.

  • May specialize in supporting pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs.

  • Researches philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals.

Requirements:
  • Prior insurance experience is a plus, but not required.

  • 2+ years of experience with Tableau, Data Studio/GCP, SQL preferred, or equivalent tools.

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

  • Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
