As a Security Officer Patrol Stewardship Agent in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting mall management, first responders, and/or other appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and shopper activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents, daily activities, and/or unusual observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
