Job Summary Job Description SummaryMcLean Hospital Depression and Anxiety Disorders Inpatient Unit Staff Psychiatrist Position at McLean Hospital- Full Time McLean Hospital, America's top-ranked psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for an inpatient staff psychiatrist. Who We Serve McLean's Depression and Anxiety Disorders Inpatient Unit specializes in treating individuals 18+ years old presenting with severe depression and anxiety disorders, with or without comorbid trauma, disordered personality, and substance use features. Inpatient Services Inpatient services comprise stabilization using evidence-based psychopharmacological and psychosocial interventions individual, care coordination, and aftercare planning. family, and group psychotherapy as well as psychopharmacology/medication management. Staff Psychiatrists are responsible for the conduct of comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including history, mental status examination, risk assessment and formulation; developing and managing individualized biopsychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (e.g., social worker, nursing staff, group therapist); overall care for an assigned inpatient caseload of up to 7 patients with occasional internal coverage for colleagues and weekend coverage. Qualifications The successful candidate will have the opportunity to combine clinical care with supervision of residents and medical students, with Harvard Medical School appointments. Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license, and being board certified/board eligible.
