About the Team

The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) is a collaborative team of engineers, technicians, and manufacturing specialists. We combine traditional and advanced technologies to develop extremely high-precision components that power Keysight's industry-leading test & measurement equipment.

About the Role

We're seeking an Assembly Process Engineer to lead the development, stabilization, and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-precision components. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with engineers and technicians to accelerate capability and ensure long-term production readiness for critical programs.

You'll apply your technical expertise in mechanical engineering, tool design, and process engineering to bridge the gap between R&D and production, ensuring high-quality, efficiency, and scalable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process development and stabilization for Hermetics and Magnetics assembly operations.
  • Design, implement, and optimize tooling and workflows for high-precision production.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze measurement data and provide manufacturability recommendations
  • Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and CapEx projects
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, CAD models, and process records.
  • Train production operators and support knowledge transfer for new processes.
  • Manage and prioritize project tasks, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, or process/tool design
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX) and print interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with process development for assembly processes
  • Familiarity with RF, microwave, or mm-wave applications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and practical metrology principles.
  • Background in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
  • Experience with equipment commissioning and CapEx projects.
  • Proficiency with vision measurement tools (Keyence, Nikon, OGP, Zygo, etc.).
