Summary: The Regional Director of BlueMD Practice Operations acts as the primary leader for the assigned multispecialty health center locations within their geographic region. The leader must understand and be able to function effectively within a matrixed organization. The position is responsible for daily regional operations including: quality, HRSA compliance, financial performance, and risk management across multiple specialties. Other responsibilities include leading and supporting a team of managers and providers in the execution of safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The Regional Director acts as the public face of their region, which includes community involvement, vendor relations, patient relations, and provider recruitment. The position is responsible for assisting in the creation, implementation, and delivery of UNC Health Pardee BlueMD strategic goals and must be able successfully manage conflicting priorities. Responsibilities: * Drives accountability, standardization, transparency and lean mentality, coupled with a patient first culture across all areas of the region * Oversees workforce planning, accountability, and retention efforts * Manages new provider onboarding processes to ensure appropriate system training, FQHC education, IT coordination * Actively coaches and supports managers in prioritizing projects, HR processes, KPI creation, patient engagement/complaints * Understands and engages senior leadership * Serves as the visible presence that builds relationships with staff and providers as a trusted source to provide timely communication and resolution to concerns and issues * Oversees budget creation, implementation, and execution and the creation of corrective action plans to address variances * Fosters cross-functional relationships as a champion of patient care, quality, and professionalism * Acts as contact for facilities management for buildings with multiple tenants i.e. Medical Office Buildings and provides cross-functional support and collaboration with other departments * Works collaboratively with CMO and COO to escalate and address clinical and operational concerns at locations to foster effective relationships. * Support new site development by participating in workgroups and coordinating stakeholder involvement, and creation of communication loops to keep all parties notified of status and updates. * Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements with HRSA, CMS, EEOC, and other governing bodies * Serves on committees (internal and external) as needed or requested * Other duties as assigned Other information: Required * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or similar or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ten (10) years of management experience in a practice or practice network covering multiple providers or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
