Write clear, detailed test specifications and procedures for systems and subsystems (mechanical, electrical, control, safety systems, instrumentation, etc.). Support the development and continuous improvement of startup testing procedures, standards, and best practices
  • Leadership & Coordination: Lead a cross-functional team during testing program development: coordinate personnel, assign tasks, and ensure execution aligns with the roadmap and schedule. Mentor and train other engineers assigned to testing tasks (as applicable)
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all proposed testing activities comply with applicable nuclear industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements. Provide input on testing program development progress, risks, resource needs, and schedule forecasts
  • Client Engagement & Travel: Participate in occasional client site visits for review meetings and collaboration events. Estimated travel is up to approximately 25%

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in commissioning, startup, testing, or operations support of power plants, preferably nuclear, or in a highly regulated power/energy environment
  • Strong understanding of nuclear power plant systems (mechanical, electrical, control/instrumentation, safety systems) and how these systems are commissioned and tested
  • Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, procedures, and documentation, and in leading test execution and commissioning phases
  • Familiarity with project management practices: scheduling, resource planning, documentation control, and cross-functional coordination
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, able to identify issues, assess risks, and implement corrective actions effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear procedural documents, reports, and coordinate with diverse stakeholders (engineering, safety, operations, regulatory)
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred

  • Professional certification/licensure (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with project management tools and technical documentation systems (e.g., MS Project, P6, document control systems) preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks applicable to nuclear power plants preferred
  • Experience mentoring or training junior engineers or technicians preferred
  • Familiarity with safety culture, QA/QC practices, and regulatory audits or inspections preferred
