About the Role As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll support providers and care teams by assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced primary care setting. This role plays a key part in creating a positive patient experience while helping ensure efficient practice operations. Key Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including vital signs and medical history Assist with exam preparation, specimen collection, and patient care needs Support providers during minor in-office procedures and point-of-care testing Schedule appointments, process referrals, medication refills, and prior authorizations Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and infection control standards Answer patient calls and provide excellent customer service Assist with clinical and administrative workflows to support quality patient care Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Active Medical Assistant Certification CPR and/or BLS Certification Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience Experience with EMR systems Experience with vital signs, injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, and medication administration Experience with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations Schedule & Location Akron, OH Monday-Friday, hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Primary Care Practice Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $16.15 - $28.80 per hour Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, career development opportunities, and more.
