American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) is seeking a Sr Facilities Technician to join our Facilities department.

The primary function of this position is to completed wide range of work orders unassisted. Oversees security workforce across nation and drives continuous improvement. Works with security, HVAC, electrical, furniture, property management, and other facility vendors to maintain campus, buildings, furnishings, fixtures, and works to ensure safe work conditions. Performs a wide variety of building and equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting and reports issues proactively. Member of emergency response team.

Hourly Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $27.55 to $39.00 Hourly Wage Range.

Remote Worker Guidelines

  • Onsite Worker Guidelines: This position requires full-time onsite office work.

Responsibilities

  • Performs building maintenance.
    • Oversees physical security team. Fosters excellence in performance and team dynamics.
    • Read and execute blueprints, schematic and wiring diagrams.
    • Installation of electrical wiring, telephone lines, and coax cables.
    • Perform in-house workstation furniture moves and configuring furniture for various functions.
    • Responsible for all general maintenance items, including but not limited to: general lighting repair including electrical diagnosis, ballast replacement, wiring, bulb replacement and fixtures.
    • Maintains all door hardware, appliances, fire extinguishers - inspection and certifications, installation of employee name plates, replacing ceiling tiles.
    • Perform routine inspections of the buildings Life and Safety systems including the fire alarm and fire sprinkler system.
    • Perform general construction work including drywall, laminate repair/replacement, wall repair/replacement, painting and concrete.
    • Perform leak diagnosis and plumbing repair/replacement of faucets, valves, traps, fixtures and toilets.
    • Maintains equipment inventory.
    • Will be carrying an on-call pager/cell phone to respond to after hour's emergency calls from the facility.
    • On call 24 hours a day and supports the incident response team.
    • Create and maintain accurate service logs for a variety of building equipment including water source heat pumps, cooling tower, standby generator, security system, and company owned vehicles.
    • Coordinate building maintenance and repairs with outside vendors as required.
    • Perform building maintenance and repairs at remote offices.
    • Work with and oversee contractors and vendors while working on the property.
    • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
  • Coordinates projects and assignments with facilities technicians.
    • Trains facilities technicians on maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting of facilities related equipment.
    • Coordinates assignments with facilities technicians ensuring projects and tasks are completed timely, accurately, and meet the requirements as outlined by manager.
    • Provides status updates as directed by manager.
  • Attends team, departmental, and staff meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 7 years experience performing commercial/high rise or large campus building maintenance required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Highly skilled with proven experience in HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use power tools and other maintenance equipment.
  • Demonstrated project lead skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing a heavy workload.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with good driving record. Availability of automobile for on the job use and proof of insurance required.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
  • Electrical Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Able to assist staff during emergency situations. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone, 2-way radios, other electronic equipment, and computer keyboard and computer keyboard. Ability to operate a moving vehicle. Bending, squatting, crawling, reaching for long periods of time and able to lift weights up to 50 lbs. Must be able to safely work from ladders, scaffolds and work outdoors. Some travel may be required to remote facilities. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push 80 lbs. using dolly or cart.

Environmental Conditions

  • Usual office setting and warehouse setting, noisy environment.
