Description
Job Summary The traditional brazing department is responsible for brazing pieces of metal together using a brazing torch following SRC specifications and/or information found on the drawings.
Essential Functions Gather component parts for build: fins, casings, hairpins. Assembly and braze job to the specifications given on by the drawing and work order. Retrieve coil from the WIP lane and place it on table using overhead lift based on certified level. Push table to the brazing area. Assemble return bends, headers, distributors on the coil per the drawings. Braze components to the coil using SRC specifications and/or information on the drawing. Use of brazing torch to braze material. Collaborate with other employees on safety/quality/production/delivery. Push or pull larger items: pallet, coils on carts. ID & tag unsafe equipment. Ability to take on other duties or assist in other departments as department needs change. Clean are to 5S standards.
Requirements
Able to safely lift up to 50lbs unassisted. Able to stand for long periods & stoop/bend frequently. Able to sit for long periods of time. Ability to accurately read drawings. Must be able to walk to retrieve jobs of table at least once an hour. Must be able to walk to deliver jobs to the citric bath at least once an hour. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs for copper and 50lbs for steal headers. Must be able to step up and down onto the table platform several times an hour. Must be able to move wrist, arm, hand, and fingers in many directions. Able to see details at a close range for long periods. Possessing excellent manual dexterity & hand stability for precision & mirror work. Team player. Verbal communication skills. Possess a basic understanding of math. Able to follow directions of supervisor or lead. Open to constructive criticism. Possessing a positive attitude in the face of challenges. Willing to understand assembly of coils.
