OVERVIEW


This position has the responsibility for the consolidation, accuracy and timely reporting of the financial forecasts and budgets for the Line of Business, on a consolidated basis, including variance analysis. These forecasts come in a variety of formats and include the Integrated Business (5 year) Plan, Monthly Forecasts, QBRs and ad-hoc analyses. This position leads the Finance function within the Safariland Group's Line of Business and is responsible for implementing The Safariland Group policies. This position also has the responsibility of developing and assisting in the negotiation of RFP's for the business, performing analysis to help set strategic initiatives, and development of business KPI's to monitor the progress of the strategic initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Partners with General Manager, VP of Strategy, and CFO of all financial matters.
  • Responsible for LOB's financial matters, including annual budgets, reporting actual results, and developing business forecasts.
  • Ability to facilitate and participate in discussion across business functions including sales, product development, supply chain, fulfillment and strategy.
  • Responsible for key financial compliance areas and critical financial processes needed to operate the business.
  • Implements policy in assigned financial areas. Implements and operates in accordance with all legal, ethical, and Company requirements, including Company Policies and Procedures, Standard Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Departmental Instructions.
  • Facilitate, expedite and resolve a variety of financial/reporting issues/questions raised by the Line of Business.
  • Prepare and negotiate instructions/format, gather, review; formulate a conclusion/position; prepare presentation packages for the annual budget process

  • Responsible for identifying integration and process improvement opportunities for the Line of Business with the Finance and other Functions to develop and executing plans.
  • Responsible for hiring, assigning responsibilities, reviewing performance, training, counseling, developing and evaluating for the Finance department.
  • Has authority to take action and make decisions regarding personnel matters.
  • Develops and manages financial and operating plans and budgets.



QUALIFICATIONS




  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Previous experience in the software development companies utilizing multiple deliverable revenue recognition models preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Problem solving- Analytical thought needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision.
  • Interpersonal skills- Developed communication skills to exchange complex and sensitive information. Ability to work with and influence cross functional management teams.
  • Experience communicating business and financial results to senior level management.
  • Ability to collaborate and lead with both internal and external teams to a achieve exceptional results.
  • Nature of Impact- Routinely impacts quality, timeliness of results, planning and revenues or budgets.
  • Area of Impact- Safariland's LOB and interface with Corporate financial leadership.
  • Negotiation skills- Negotiates with external partners, Safariland's leadership team and Corporate finance department management.
  • Project Management- Senior team member responsible for work flow which is varied in nature with situations frequently requiring new solutions.
