Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Creative Arts Therapist (Music Therapist) to support the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Creative Forces located at the Ocala West VA Clinic, Ocala, FLA. The Creative Arts Therapists will develop, implement, and evaluate creative arts therapies program for patients. 50% of the time will be spent on clinical program activities (on site at the Ocala VA) and 50% of the time working on a Community Arts Connection Pilot project (Largely work from home/telework). Fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives and visitors. Effectively uses interpersonal communication skills to promote a healing environment. The mission of the Creative Forces Network is to improve the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of trauma-exposed military service members and veterans, as well as their families and caregivers, by increasing knowledge of and access to clinical creative arts therapies and community arts engagement. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.
