Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager - Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring consistency and transparency in financial reporting, partnering with Operations, driving cost improvements and developing controller team. This role requires collaboration across multiple functions including Operations, Pricing/Costing, Engineering GBS and others. The candidate will be a strategic partner to Operations teams, providing actionable insights, updating forecasts, developing budgets and leading investment decisions. This role is located in our Charlotte, NC office and will be hybrid coming in Monday through Thursday having flexibility to work remote on Friday.



Responsibilities:



  • Manage and guide a team with financial oversight for the Supply Chain activities related to sites in North America.
  • Key strategic partner to Operations and Commercial Finance.
  • Provide accurate and timely analysis and interpretation of data to enable actionable business decisions.
  • Coordinate site finance activities for manufacturing variances, costing, general ledger accounting, performance metrics, inventory valuation and analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Act as financial advisor for the facilities and liaise with Operations director, General Manager and Senior SCF Management.
  • Provide leadership and ensure proper controls environment, including


    • Compliance with accounting policies and chart of accounts
    • Coordinate and ensure that all accounting postings are complete and accurate
    • Evaluate business controls applied to the sites impacting manufacturing and inventory. Work with local management to implement and improve controls as needed.
    • SOX compliance testing and documentation
    • Ensure the budget & forecast processes are completed within the business timetable. Assist in driving accountability.
    • Certify that all transactions are recorded in line with Corporate Policy & Company Code of Conduct.
    • Safeguard all company assets; participate in reviewing asset inventory and utilization.


  • Align with Integrated Business Planning team to produce the monthly financial forecast (including variance and inventory).
  • Lead an accurate and timely month end close.
  • Analyze and present monthly Supply Chain financial results to key leaders including commentary, review of actuals and variances versus budget and forecast, highlight and challenge areas of concern to drive solution/correction.
  • Provide finance validation and approval of cost savings initiatives.
  • Lead the financial review of local site capital projects, including working with company capital system to review and approval capital projects and completion of project make good analysis.
  • Review manufacturing information, work with the business to understand weekly/monthly performance versus standards to enable improvement in performance.
  • Analyze, understand, and explain the reasons for movement in all manufacturing costs including month and year to date comparisons to budget and prior year.
  • Cost modeling as requested.
  • Assist with improving the use and understanding of SAP, BIA, and PowerBI reporting systems. Work with supply chain finance team to establish best practices and maintain consistency. Demonstrates proficiency in these systems.
  • Provide ad hoc strategic analysis and scenario planning.
  • Responsibilities are not limited to the above requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred). Advanced certifications preferred.
  • 7-10+ years relevant finance experience with a background in operations.
  • Must have ERP experience, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Experience with BIA and OneStream are a plus.
  • CMA preferred. Other accounting qualifications may be considered.
  • Prior team management experience


  • Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills, able to dig into the detail to drive insights and improve processes.
  • Experience with high volume operations.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.

Pay Transparency:

Compensation: $93,100 - $160,655



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
