Environmental Designer

This Full Time Direct Hire opportunity is located in Portland, OR and requires hybrid work (in-office Monday-Wednesday; optional remote Thursday-Friday)

Our client, a global experience design agency that specializes in creating immersive, brand-driven environments, is seeking an Environmental Designer to join their team. This interdisciplinary studio brings together design, technology, and storytelling to craft physical spaces that elevate brand experiences and solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will contribute to designing innovative, human-centered environments for high-profile clients across a range of industries.

Job Description

In this role, you will create and implement experiential designs within the built environment, including architectural concepts, interior layouts, and spatial branding systems.

You'll partner with cross-functional teams to translate brand stories into physical experiences. This includes 3D modeling, visualization, space planning, documentation of design intent, and detailing for fabrication and technology integration.

You will also support content strategy and narrative development, present design concepts, and maintain alignment with project budgets, timelines, and scopes, supporting the overall success of the creative team.

Our Ideal Candidate



  • 2+ years of experience in environmental, spatial, or architectural design
  • Passion for experiential design, branded environments, and spatial storytelling with a strong foundation in 3D visualization and interior architecture
  • Proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Workspace, with strong visual design and documentation skills
  • Familiar with rendering tools (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Unreal, Twinmotion) and basic BIM/CAD workflows (Revit, Rhino)
  • Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including designers, producers, and project managers
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
  • Interest in integrating technology, media, and storytelling into physical environments

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Background in experiential design, branded environments, exhibitions, corporate interiors, or similar disciplines
