Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a dedicated and reliable Fleet Maintenance Service Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the maintenance facilities, including garages, locker rooms, breakroom, and related spaces, are kept clean, organized, and safe. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of waste materials, as well as maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness in all maintenance areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the fleet maintenance team has a clean and functional workspace to carry out their tasks effectively.

  • Maintain cleanliness in offices, conference and training rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, break areas, stairwells, and hallways.
  • Perform daily trash removal and restock supplies in break rooms and other common areas.
  • Clean and inspect eyewash stations, light fixtures, doors, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
  • Monitor facility conditions, reporting issues such as needed painting or repairs.
  • Support a safe and organized environment through dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, as well as good time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance and a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must currently hold or demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain Lift Truck Operator (LTO) certification/license.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Ability to run errands and assist with other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and good personal hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning products and equipment, including floor machines, safety protocols, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDs) and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Experience operating lift trucks, pressure washers, or carpet/upholstery machines.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thorough completion of tasks.
  • Previous experience with MAXIMO or similar work order systems.
