NYU Langone Health, a world-class, patient-centered, integrated, academic medical center, is one of the nation's premier centers for excellence in clinical care, biomedical research, and medical education. NYU Langone Health has launched the Advanced Fetal Care Center (AFCC) with the vision of becoming the premier fetal care center in the country. This program is a partnership between pediatric surgery at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital and obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone Health. The AFCC is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary fetal center dedicated to providing innovative care for patients with complex fetal conditions. We are advancing the field of fetal therapy and helping establish New York City as a destination for comprehensive fetal diagnosis, fetal intervention, and fetal surgery. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Health is seeking an accomplished Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialist with expertise in fetal diagnosis and fetal therapy to join our dynamic faculty at our Manhattan campuses. The successful candidate will join one of the nation's best academic health systems, with access to three high-volume obstetric hospitals, a large regional referral network, nationally recognized pediatric and adult subspecialists, and outstanding institutional support for innovation, research, and program development. As a dedicated fetal care leader, the successful candidate will focus on comprehensive multidisciplinary fetal care while helping shape the future direction of the AFCC through clinical innovation, research, education, quality improvement, and program development. Initially, up to 20% of the candidate's clinical effort may be devoted to general maternal-fetal medicine while the fetal care program continues to grow, with the goal of transitioning to a fully fetal care-focused practice as clinical volume supports it.The MFM director of the AFCC will be involved in of the full spectrum of fetal interventions and integrated in the innovation and cutting edge fetal surgeries developed and performed at AFCC.. The MFM Director will provide leadership across the full continuum of fetal care, from prenatal diagnosis and counseling through fetal intervention, delivery planning, and coordination of neonatal and pediatric subspecialty care, ensuring an exceptional patient and family experience while fostering seamless collaboration across specialties. This role will serve as a key physician leader in advancing the AFCC's mission of delivering innovative, evidence-based care and expanding access to comprehensive fetal services throughout the region. The MFM Director will report jointly to Jose Peiro, MD, Director of the Advanced Fetal Care Center, and Justin Brandt, MD, Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
