Summary:

The Assistant Director Patient Services plans, administers and directs all patient meal services operations. Develops and manages an electronic menu system. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees.

Principle Duties:

Develops, implements and maintains trayline

Enforces quality control standards for patient food items including temperature, food handling, quality, taste and presentation

Develops schedules and assignments

Supports operation of the electronic menu system

Monitors employee performance

Responsible for staff training

Responsible for supervising patient services managers

Responsible for regulatory adherence

Drives and Improves customer satisfaction

Conducts quality assurance monitoring

Responsible for adhering to sanitation requirements

Develops policies and procedures related to patient meal services

Develop and manage clinical performance improvement plans and activities

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree required

5-8 years previous management experience in large-scale/ high-volume food service operation required

Serv-Safe Certification preferred

Working knowledge of 3rd party patient satisfaction companies
