Job Description
Pay Rate: $34.50 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain Cook Side and Raw Side equipment through the preventive/predictive maintenance program.
- Work with the maintenance planner and supervision to plan repairs and PMs.
- Ensure facilities/plant/production equipment is operating in a safe and optimal manner.
- Maintain professional communication with all maintenance personnel, MRO personnel, production personnel, sanitation personnel, leads and supervisors.
- Ensure daily objectives and tasks are expressed to the maintenance team at the beginning of the shift, this includes ensuring pocket cards and WOs are distributed to the TEAM.
- Give direction/support to the maintenance TEAM.
- Order repair parts as needed, ensure correct parts are ordered, installed correctly and in a timely matter.
- Oversee all repairs made on his or her shift, must sign all WOs/PMs performed during his or her shift, ensuring work is complete, correct and safe.
- Effectively troubleshoot and repair all equipment in safe, correct and timely manner.
- Obtain mechanic requested for parts from the MRO warehouse ensuring all parts removed are signed out using SAP.
- Ensure shops and work areas are clean and SAFE.
- Ensure maintenance personnel are following assigned breaks and lunch times.
- Ensure maintenance personnel return from breaks and lunches in their allotted time given and that they are promptly returning to their workstation or designated work area.
- Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
- Follow safety lock out tag out procedures.
- Supervise maintenance team members as directed by Management in plant. Provide materials and planning for maintenance repairs. Provide leadership and direction to maintenance team members, interface with other department team members. Assess and respond to facility maintenance needs and cross train maintenance team in all areas of production equipment.
- General cleaning and/or assisting other crew, if required.
- Maintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation, and GMP requirements while performing job duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be self-motivated and able to lead by example.
- Must have previous leadership experience.
- Must have advanced knowledge of three phase motors, motor control, wrapping and food processing equipment.
- Must be familiar with pumps, understanding gear ratios/speeds, and operation of hand and power tools.
- Must be able to use welding/cutting equipment and be proficient in all aspects of plant maintenance.
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics and troubleshoot effectively.
- Must have a good understanding of safe work practices, PPE, and knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Must be able to read, understand, and implement written instructions and procedures in English.
- Have effective communication skills and be able to work effectively in a group setting or independently.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which includes overtime and temporarily moving to a different shift than assigned to support business needs.
- Must be detail oriented and have strong mathematical aptitude.
- Must be able to stand for prolong periods (8-10 hours) on concrete/metal grate floors and work in the cold/heat.
