Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift - Buckeye, AZ

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location!

New employees can earn $80K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
* Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment - overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes and resistance
welders.
* Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.
* Comply with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program
* Perform general building repairs and maintenance
* Perform general trailer and vehicle maintenance on yard equipment- forklifts, yard trucks, and shop vehicles.
* Adhere to safety protocols.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
* Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or
shifts, overtime, weekends as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred.
* At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
* At least 1 year of experience in welding and fabricating preferred.
* Knowledge of overhead cranes, bearings, hydraulics, and drives
* Must have low voltage electrical knowledge.
* Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery in a
manufacturing environment.
* Basic PLC knowledge/experience.
* Basic automotive/trailer maintenance knowledge.
* Must have basic knowledge of lockout tag out and proper PPE.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
* Standing for most of the shift, walking, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
* Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
* Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
* Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
* Constantly thinking and processing information.
* Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Manufacturing floor with machinery.
* Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.
* Use of personal protection equipment is required.
