As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Deescalation in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a renowned educational and cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, students, faculty, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a museum and educational setting.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, classrooms, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor flow, directions, and compliance with site-specific entry and conduct requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
