Shift:Monday-Friday 11pm-7am

Pay: Starting $24.00 with Shift Differential of $1.50

Paid Tier Progression for demonstrated knowledge/training verification. Opportunity to earn up to $27/hr in the first 12 months on the job!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Technician will be responsible for safely maintaining molding machine processes to meet standards for quality, efficiency and productivity outputs. In performing these responsibilities, Process Technicians are to cooperate with peers in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement. The Process Technician will communicate to the Shift Supervisor with all equipment that is not performing within specifications.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Required to adhere to all EHS/GMP policies.

• Authorized in Lockout/tagout and Molten Polymer procedures.

• Maintain clean, organized work area.

• Technical understanding of how to set up machines/automation with correct process settings for quality finished product.

• Ability to start up and shut down machine/automation.

• Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Production Associate concerns.

• Montior and maintain molding equipment/automation to ensure efficiency standards are being met. (MEEF, EFF, Scrap %, Etc.)

• Respond to Quality Technician ordered adjustments to maintain quality specifications. Ensure quality of finished product is met and understanding when to shut down machinery to eliminate quality defects. (Size, weight, density, visual attributes, etc.)

• Understanding of the First Shot process and interaction with Quality Technicians prior to running finished product.

• Understanding Line Clearance and production changeover responsibilities.

• Inspection of scrap to identify root causes of defects and prevent unnecessary loss of materials.

• Able to assist Production Associate for relief during breaktime as the need arises.

• Accurately complete any required documentation.

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Capability to keep pace with the production cycles.

• Capability to demonstrate time management, physical dexterity, and constant attention to detail

• Tolerance of repetitive tasks.

• Sitting or standing for long periods of time.

• Capability to lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.

• Capability to lift up to 49 pounds safely

• Capability to identify alpha / numeric descriptions.

• Expected but not limited: flexible schedule, weekend/daily overtime, and working holidays as so directed when production demands fluctuate.

• Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and practices.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Previous production experience is favorable, but not required

• Knowledge of injection molding machinery and processes to include mold set-ups, trouble shooting and exposure to maintenance problems

• Being able to read, write and communicate in English.

• Basic or Intermediate computer skills

• Basic or intermediate mathematics

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
