In This Global Future Leader Role, you will act as a Sustainability Strategy & Market Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview
The Sustainability Strategy & Market Intelligence Analyst role sits within Lenovo's Services and Solutions Group (SSG) and helps shape the future of Lenovo's sustainability services portfolio through market intelligence, strategic analysis, and business insights. It focuses on identifying market opportunities, analyzing competitive and sustainability trends, and providing actionable insights that inform portfolio and business decisions. This is a foundational entry role for early-career professionals interested in strategy, product management, sustainability, and business leadership. The role reports to the Sustainability Services Portfolio & Product Director and collaborates closely with Sustainability, Product Management, Strategy, Innovation, Business Operations, and Sales teams, with exposure to ongoing business reviews, strategic planning, and portfolio development initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct market intelligence research to identify industry trends, customer needs, emerging technologies, and sustainability-related market opportunities.
  • Perform competitive analysis to evaluate market positioning, competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and industry developments.
  • Support product managers and business leaders with research requests, business insights, and data-driven recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop business cases, market assessments, and opportunity analyses to support portfolio investments, growth initiatives, and new solution development.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, reports, and recommendations that translate complex information into clear business insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on strategic projects related to portfolio expansion, innovation, sustainability services, and market growth.
  • Monitor market, technology, AI, and sustainability trends and communicate key findings to stakeholders across the business.

Job Requirements Must Have
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Sustainability, Economics, Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous business questions.
  • Experience conducting research, market analysis, competitive intelligence, consulting projects, or business case development through internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize findings into executive-friendly recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Nice to Have
  • MBA or Master's degree in Strategy, Analytics, Sustainability, Technology Management, or a related discipline.
  • Internship or work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product management, business operations, sustainability, or market intelligence.
  • Knowledge of sustainability trends, ESG frameworks, circular economy concepts, or environmental services markets.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership through consulting engagements, internships, student organizations, research projects, or business competitions.
GLF Program Requirements
  • Currently completing or recently completed a degree from an accredited university (Bachelors, Masters or PhD)
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, professional, internship, or community involvement
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across global teams
  • Ability to think strategically, manage ambiguity, and execute with attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (approximately 10-20%)
