Opportunities for leadership, precepting, mentoring, and specialty certifications Position Details: What You'll Do As a Registered Nurse in our Labor & Birth team, you will: Labor & Delivery Nursing Excellence Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care Assess, monitor, and respond to maternal and fetal conditions Interpret fetal monitoring and communicate findings to providers Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, and high-risk pregnancies Assist with neonatal stabilization and resuscitation when needed Patient & Family Centered Care Partner with patients and families in decision-making Create individualized care plans that promote optimal outcomes Provide education and emotional support throughout the birth journey Advocate for patient rights, dignity, confidentiality, and safety Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with physicians, midwives, neonatal clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in bedside shift reports and patient handoffs utilizing safety tools such as SBAR Coordinate care seamlessly across departments Professional Practice Utilize evidence-based nursing practice Participate in quality improvement initiatives Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new nurses as opportunities arise Maintain nursing competencies and professional certifications We're Looking For Required Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) Current RN License (Missouri or compact state) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire Recent Labor & Delivery, Labor & Birth, Mother-Baby, Women's Services, or LDRP experience Preferred Certifications Experience or certification in any of the following is highly valued: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) ACLS C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) S.T.A.B.L.E.
