Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Sign on bonus: None
  • Position: RN - Vascular Access
  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Full Time (36 hrs/week)
  • Hours: Mon thru Sun 0800--1630
  • Required Travel: Will float to inpatient units for vascular access

What you will do:

  • Observing dressing integrity
  • Changing dressings as needed
  • Performing scheduled weekly dressing changes
  • Collaborating with the dialysis team to ensure dressings are changed when necessary
  • Determining whether central lines can be replaced with midlines or peripheral lines
  • Identifying patients who no longer meet the criteria for maintaining a central line
  • Inserting peripheral lines, or Ultrasound guided IV's when time permits
  • Future state: Vascular Access RNs will insert PICC/MIDD lines as well

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Certification: Current Illinois Nursing licensure. American Heart Association CPR Certification. Completion of Ultrasound Guided IV training.
  • Experience: 2 years of hospital inpatient care
