Position Overview

The Project Manager - II (PM-II) will be responsible for developing and overseeing the operational aspects and scope of a project, generally with system-wide implications. The PM-II creates and executes project plans and business requirements. They also effectively apply project methodology and enforce standards while ensuring quality assurance procedures.

Job Description
  • Oversee the implementation of multiple complex projects as they progress through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Monitor progress toward project milestones to ensure metrics are met timely and within budget.
  • Coordinate the development of project scope and business requirements through textual and visual documentation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business needs through project execution.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure contractual deliverables and support requests are met.
  • Document meeting minutes, attendance and facilitate project deliverable completion.
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports to the project team and executive leadership clearly and regularly.
  • Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote organizational goals.
  • Utilize industry and internal PMO best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project implementation.
  • Adapt to changes in work responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business, Science, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required
  • Six (6) years of project management and/or operations management experience required, prior healthcare industry experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Project, and Visio
  • Maintains strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple business units
