Print Production Specialist

Under general supervision, the Print Production Specialist is responsible for executing the print production services for GBMC's Main hospital campus, Gilchrist, and off-site locations. This position requires a solid understanding of print production and must ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with quality standards. The Print Production Specialist partners closely with the Marketing and Philanthropy Department to ensure quality and branding consistency throughout the organization.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

3 years' experience preferred in the digital printing industry

Skills

  • High level of understanding of print production processes, including large and small format
  • Proficiency with EFI Fiery including Jobmaster, Impose, Color Profiler Suite, and ES 2000 spectrophotometer
  • Understanding of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of color and paper profiling to achieve custom and spot colors for PMS and logo matching
  • Ability to troubleshoot digital files for production problems
  • Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and perform TCR (trained customer repair)s
  • Exceptional eye for detail and color matching
  • Self-starter with exemplary organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruption
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skill in oral and written communication

III. Technical Assessment

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates print projects with internal customers and sees projects through to delivery and completion within specified time frame
  • Prints, folds, binds, compiles all materials for the health system including flyers, booklets, mailings, brochures, stickers, labels, forms and more.
  • Establishes and maintains workflow regarding print and mail production. Compiles project status reports and project schedules.
  • Collaborates with vendors to order and receive materials, ensuring projects are completed in a cost and time efficient manner.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on color and paper profiling, prepress, project timeline planning, and postage metering equipment.
  • Provides coverage for the Mail Room Associate as needed including operating metering and mailing equipment, collecting and delivering mail, including bulk mail.

Pay Range

$16.44 - $24.97

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
