The light and sound technician works alongside the renter and, in some cases, additional technical staff, to setup and operate theatrical technical equipment.
Compensation: Hourly wage is based on the SoWashCo School Miscellenious Wage Sheet - Junior Rate - $15.75/hour; Senior Rate - $24.00/hour Duties include but are not limited to the following: Setup/teardown of dance flooring, Setup/teardown of orchestra shell, Operation of the fly system, Operation of the lecture system, Light and sound board proficiency, Additional technical setup (ie - setting up monitors, setting up and/or focusing lights, etc). Technicians should be attentive, cooperative, self motivated, and resourceful. While baseline knowledge of technical systems is helpful, all staff will receive in-house training.
