Ophthalmology Reading Ctr Database Administrator

A Brief Overview
The Database Administrator functions as a team member in the planning, development and implementation of database environments to include data definition structure, documentation of databases, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection activities. Assists the Senior Database Administrator in establishing database standards and guidelines, assuring the quality of database deliverables and working with development teams to support database needs.

What You Will Do

• Design, Develop, program, validate and maintain clinical trial databases according to company standards based on identified business needs or deficiencies.
• Act as primary contact to the data management team for assigned studies, supplying all necessary technical support, and ensuring quality of the programming.
• Coordinate with the database manager and network administrator to integrate database systems into existing workflows, technologies, systems and operational procedures.
• Additional responsibilities include writing specifications and designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting applications using programming/scripting languages and development tools.
• Develop solutions - Meet with the project team and other stakeholders to develop business requirements and workflows. Collaborate with regulatory and/or compliance specialist to ensure that applications meets or exceeds all national, state, local and institutional requirements.
• Solution support and customer service - Perform quality control measures periodically to monitor system to detect errors, data problems and performance issues; determine where optimizations can be made to the existing workflow and propose changes to team.
