Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated manager to lead our Data Quality team. This team is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and quality of our animal health data across various business processes. The Data Quality team consists of a Senior Data Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, and a Senior Data Architect. As the manager, you will facilitate the intake of new work, analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, and work with the data engineering team on the delivery into Production.

You will ensure that data solutions meet high standards of quality, oversee release management, and track quality metrics to report progress against goals. This role requires a collaborative leader who is technically adept, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the three-person Data Quality team, providing guidance, support, and performance management of team members.
  • Work Intake & Requirements Analysis: Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming work requests. Analyze and assess business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications for delivery by the Data Engineering team.
  • Data Solution Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of data solutions by ensuring proper validation, testing, and release management practices are followed.
  • Release Management: Own the release process for data solutions, including coordination with development teams, scheduling, and ensuring smooth rollouts to production environments.
  • Quality Metrics & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track data quality metrics. Prepare reports to communicate progress, goals, and quality outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment on data quality standards and objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data quality processes and implement best practices across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are well understood and that data solutions meet business needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data management, data quality, or similar roles, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data quality and data management principles.
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Solid understanding of data testing, validation, and release management.
  • Deep expertise with SQL, including analytic and aggregrate functions.
  • 3+ years experience in a data warehousing or data lakehouse environment.
  • Experience with data quality tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints in a complex environment.
  • Familiarity with data metrics tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in an Agile or DevOps environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience as a Scrum Master is a big plus.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

$86,300.00 - $160,300.00
