THE JOB: We are seeking a vibrant and engaging Host Person to play a pivotal role in providing exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests with courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked outlet. As a Host Person, you will collaborate closely with Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners to enhance guest interactions and provide accurate table information. THE STARTING RATE: $19.4661/hr THE DAY-TO-DAY:
CommunicatewithRestaurant Reservationsregarding specialorders,cakeorders,specialrequests - responsible for conveyingallsuchinformationtomanagement. Maintainknowledgeofscheduleddailyactivitiesandin-housegroups,dailyhousecount,table/seat/stationnumbers,proper tablesetups,roomcapacity,hoursofoperation,pricerangeanddresscodeoftherestaurant. Greetguestspromptlyastheyentertherestaurant. Answerphones,keepaccuratecountofreservationsandhandlereservationbook. Ensuremenus have proper inserts and are current according to themost recent change and replace allmenus in poor condition. Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen andmanagement. Provide timely updates to management regarding guest reactions and comments, offering assistance as required to guarantee the seamless operation and delivery of high-quality service. Frequentlycheckbackwithguestswhoarewaitingtobeseated;makeitevidenttogueststhattheyhavenotbeenforgotten andthattablesarebeingpreparedforthem. Monitorandmaintaincleanliness,sanitation,andorganizationofassignedworkareas. Shutdownpodiumandforwardphones tovoice-loopatendofshift.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Previous customer service experience in a similar role. Prior experience in a high-volume fine dining environment. Working knowledge of reservation systems such as: SevenRooms or OpenTable. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure. Demonstrates a strong desire to learn and grow, seeking opportunities for personal and professional development. Flexibility to work various shifts/hours as needed per on call requirements.
